Nerdy me

With my highschool reunion just a few days away, a friend asked me, " e sinong first love mo?" To which I replied, "Tang*#ng first love yan!" ( I would have edited the swearing, but it wouldn't give the same effect when you read it!)

I didn't have any boyfriend back in high school. Only lots of crushes (I'd say we all have this..). I was the nerdy kind back then.. I belonged to those kids who came with all assignments answered, those who were frequently club officers. My classmates would pester me to show them my assignments. My guy seatmeate would even share his whole intermediate pad with me, tearing it in half with the aid of his laway (para straight! bwehehe!). I never had a failing grade then.. ooh!! I almost did! I was so busy with the Math and Science Club that I kept on skipping my Trigonometry Class (upon the request of the Club adviser, of course). I almost cried when my teacher said I got a 78, but then she said she could maintain my honor roll status if I gave her a new sci-calculator.. cool exchange huh?!!

Anyways, I was never considered pretty-- or social for that matter. All high schools have this "A group" of beautiful (or , in our case, feeling byutiful) girls and their partners strutting around campus as if they were godesses. I wasn't part of that group. I don't think I would have wanted to be part of their group anyways. With such a lot on my mind, who has time for that love crap! But I did have crushes, and sa pagkakaalam ko meron din namang nagkaka crush sakin (naks.) Life was just school and home. I cant believe I survived.

College turned out to be liberating for me. I got to be NORMAL. Sometimes I even turn out to be abnoy. hehe. And what happened to the nerdy me?? Shoosh. Gone. Kaput. But I'm happy, coz its great to experience life.. even when your drunk. he he. Specially when your drunk!
